He expresses his perception of the "training" of filmmakers without vision, of the decline and lack of creativity among specialists—whether screenwriters, directors, or audiovisual managers of any kind—who seek to enter, or rather, "remain part of," the market, instead of bringing truth and beauty (even if "raw") to the audiovisual industry.
His orientation is towards inclusion, authentic expression, verisimilitude with reality, narrative intelligence, and profound sensitivity within a tragic, present, and living plot. A tireless filmmaker, renowned for his unflinching and unvarnished narrative style, José Campusano uses cutting-edge technology as a tool to enrich and enhance true stories or creations based on real events.
Aware of the damage that "policies insensitive to the point of imbecility" inflict on art and artists in general—not just in film—he advocates for creative and combative activism against the oppressors of the day, producing more, dedicating greater resources and energy to the feelings that guide hearts to illuminate what is hidden from us. That which they would like to continue hiding, denying, or corrupting in order to silence and conceal the complexities and contradictions of humankind.
